Vianney Academy is a small school making a big difference. Our students are children with special needs and learning challenges, and many of them have been told what they can’t do. Here, they find a safe, nurturing place to learn, and adults who believe in them.

If you believe that every child can learn with the right support, we would love to meet you.

What we look for

Our mission is to teach our students with passion and encourage them every step of the way, fostering a love of learning through discovery. We look for people who share these values:

Passion

You love to teach, and you encourage students every step of the way, so they come to love learning through discovery.

Nurturing

You see the whole child: their mental, physical and social needs. You adjust your approach to meet each one.

Attentiveness

You keep learning and improving, so students grow into confident, successful learners who are excited to learn.

Excellence

You are a critical, creative thinker who strives for excellence and encourages it in those around you.

Why work at Vianney

  • Small classes. You get to know each student and family, and you see the difference you make.
  • A plan for each child. Students work at their own pace, with support from their teachers and peers.
  • More than academics. You work alongside therapies such as Neurodevelopment Through Movement and NILD Educational Therapy that help students learn.
  • A team that grows together. Our teachers and home educators learn side by side, including hands-on Professional Days.
  • A culture of mutual encouragement. Among students and staff alike.
  • Two Mississauga campuses. Liruma Road and St. Bride’s on Clarkson Road North.
